If you’ve seen me on a dancefloor, chances are you've seen me stretch. Like A LOT. Upside down, sideways, and all around; my extremities go to extreme lengths. As a danseur it's incredibly important to prime my body before the party so my moves have the panache and dynamism they deserve. Until recently I was flunking the course. Even when I took the time to theragun and stretch, it was often rushed through. I was skipping a step of the utmost importance. Which is taking care of myself so I can twirl until the sun comes up, goes down and then up again. My chiropractor suggested I get a long strap with a bunch of loops which came with instructions for a 15 minute routine. And let me tell you- it changed my whole ball game. Even my previous routine, which I often rushed through, didn’t give this sort of advantage. I’ve had to take way fewer breaks to stretch during dance marathons, meaning my fancy footwork catches more beats. Plus my moves are fiercer and I feel better all around- before, during and after the party.
